Halloween is a time of year that I always looked forward too when I started to see the leaves turn colors in the fall. When the leaves started falling and the cool fall breezes started blowing, I knew that meant two things, high school football on Friday nights and Halloween was around the corner. Halloween costumes are like a piece of magic that instantly allows you to be whatever you wanted to be. Alien, vampire, or firefighter, anything is possible on Halloween, for one night you can suspend reality and be what you please and feel the same too. The best thing about Halloween costumes is they can be made from anything and can be as creative as you want. Growing up my favorite costume was one that my grandma made me that she thought of and designed from just a thought in her head, which was an alien costume. Even with all the excitement over wearing the costume, there is still one thing that Halloween is all about, the candy. Candy is what Halloween is about about for kids, walking door to door and feeling the excitement and nervousness of what candy will you get. Will it be name brand totally worth the trip candy or old looks like it came from under the couch. All in all, from the costumes to the candy, Halloween is an exciting time that only comes once and year and should be cherished as such.
